Together with PGGM and Alzheimer Nederland, we mobilize bright minds and challenge them to work on today’s mobility challenge for people living with dementia. We do this by organizing Brainwaves Challenge 2015 where people with the same passion but different skills meet, connect and work together on scalable Dementia solutions.
Decreased mobility is one of the major problems of dementia, leading to dependency on others and loneliness. New technologies, business models and alliances can help in tackling these issues by using the power of entrepreneurship. Our goal with the Brainwaves Challenge is to start new enterprises that can help solve the mobility challenge.
We mobilize a community of impact driven entrepreneurs, care professionals and developers. We stimulate them to form teams, and work on the mobility challenge for people living with dementia. Teams will get the chance to fully understand the issue within the mobility challenge of dementia by visiting one of our three Meetups on World Alzheimer Day September 21st 2015, which will be hosted throughout the country. Finally, on the 13th and/or 14th of October 2015 in the Rijtuigenloods in Amersfoort we bring people, partners and ideas together during a Bootcamp to work on scalable and impactful Dementia solutions. After hours of ideation and developing the ideas will be pitched in front of the jury who will announce a winner.
The winners will receive EURO 5000,- and business development support for further development, validation and plan to the market. Once concepts are validated through talks with stakeholders, start-ups enter the next phase of their development: acceleration.
