Together with L&G Nederland we have developed a program (called LefLab) to activate 8 intrapreneurs to generate and develop new market propositions for L&G life insurances.
The market for life insurances is shrinking. L&G sells their products through intermediaries. The challenge was to come up with new market propositions for L&G life insurances. Within only six weeks eight intrapreneurial employees, selected from different departments and backgrounds, were given the task to develop new business concepts and propositions for new markets. We provided inspiration for new markets on four levels: target groups, strategic partners, new technologies and trends.
During a kick-off, 5 Bootcamp days and the final Demo-Day, we inspired and activated eight intrapreneurs to develop new market solutions for L&G life insurances. The first bootcamp session brought 30 inspiring business concepts forward and 14 feasible business ideas. During the next bootcamp sessions, these ideas were further developed into five business concepts, which were enriched using the Outside Inc. Intrapreneurship toolkit and tested (in the Markthal in Rotterdam) using the Lean Startup method. Besides that, two startup stories were shared of Mobbr (an payment system for online collaboration) by Ernesto Spruyt and Ensure Your Family by Annemiek Stolk. During the final demo day the best concepts will be selected and implemented by L&G directors into L&G Strategic Business Plan for 2015-2016.
