Together with a strong network of partners we founded World Startup Factory. With key partners like SPIE, KPN and the City of The Hague, we have launched a unique acceleration program for startups related to the Internet of Things and Smart City. The program is based in The Hague and focuses on impact-driven startups that use disruptive technologies to create responsible connectivity for society.
The Hague knows a dense network of Telecom and ICT corporations, consisting of large enterprises such as KPN, SPIE, Tech Mahindra, Siemens and Huawei Technologies. On one hand we notice that these kind of large enterprises are on the hunt for disruptive innovation and on the other hand we notice promising startups and passionate entrepreneurs on the hunt for customers, funding, in-depth expertise and partnerships to scale up their business by connecting to large customer communities.
World Startup Factory (WSF) encourages impact driven entrepreneurs with innovative connectivity solutions and business models aimed at improving the quality of life. 10 startups joined are participating in a 100 day acceleration program and in 60 days of sustainable growth. This first cohort will be guided by an experienced and dedicated mentor network of corporate professionals, seasoned entrepreneurs and investors. The program provides support on many sides of business development, including: customer development, IP & technology, finance, invest-ability and team dynamics.
The first cohort of the connectivity accelerator started on the 11th of January. You can read about the first week here. The startups will present their business during the Customer Plaza on the 30th of March. At the end of April the startups present their investment ready business plan to a select group of investors. WSF organizes meetups almost every week, we hope to see you at one of the meetups in the coming period. For more information see the website www.worldstartupfactory.com.
